Senior .NET Developer (C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, APIs)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications. You will work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to architecture decisions, backend development, and system integrations.
This role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with solid experience building and consuming APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C# and .NET Core
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
- Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
- Participate in deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support of applications
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server (query optimisation, indexing, stored procedures)
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
- Experience with message queues or event-driven systems
